Louisiana Wave Studio is a production services facility in Shreveport, Louisiana, built around a state-of-the-art computerized wave-making tank designed to create water effects for film and television production as well as scientific testing. The roughly 750,000-gallon tank (about 80 by 100 feet and up to 10 feet deep) can generate a range of programmable waves and swell patterns, and it is promoted as the only automatic wave production tank for motion pictures in the United States. The facility was originally built by the Aquatic Development Group and has been used for a number of feature films and industrial testing projects.
