HiFi 3D is an award-winning, Brooklyn-based boutique studio specializing in visual effects and 3D animation for film, television, web, and commercials. Founded in 2010 by directors and visual effects supervisors Jonathan Dorfman and Szymon Weglarski, the studio offers high-end production services from concept to delivery, with a particular affinity for humor-driven and CG-character/mascot work for brands. It is known for blending techniques such as CG, stop-motion, and painted backgrounds to create distinctive mixed-media aesthetics. The studio's work has earned a Primetime Emmy Award and a Visual Effects Society Award for its visual effects on Boardwalk Empire.
