Prairie Surf Studios
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma(approximate location)
Prairie Surf Studios was a large film and television production facility in downtown Oklahoma City, created when co-founders Rachel Cannon and Matt Payne converted the city-owned former Cox (Myriad) Convention Center into soundstages, renaming it Prairie Surf Studios on January 1, 2021. At its peak it offered five clearspan soundstages totaling about 140,000 square feet within a far larger building, and hosted major productions including the blockbuster Twisters and the Paramount+ series Tulsa King. The Oklahoma City Council voted to terminate the studio's lease, and demolition of the building began in March 2025 to make way for a new OKC Thunder arena. Prairie Surf Media's operators have explored continuing operations at a future location.
