Austin Studios is a 20-acre film and creative-media production complex operated by the nonprofit Austin Film Society in partnership with the City of Austin, located at the former Robert Mueller Municipal Airport. The campus features two soundstages, a mill/wardrobe facility, two vendor warehouses, two flex stages, production offices and base-camp parking, and includes the Creative Media Center. It serves as a central hub for the region's screen-production ecosystem. Films shot at Austin Studios include Friday Night Lights, Idiocracy, Miss Congeniality, A Scanner Darkly and Grindhouse.
